SOME
FOLKS want to be an audio engineer and learn to make records and CDs. Some
want to produce and get involved with the songs and arrangements. Others
want to kick up their knowledge a few notches, so they can operate their
own equipment at home in a more productive manner or even open their own
studios.
All
our courses are one-on-one — no crowding around the console in a class of
ten or twenty students. We cover every aspect of audio engineering and
production, including consoles, patchbays, digital and analog recording,
microphones and miking techniques, frequency-dynamic and time-based
processing, composition and arranging, as well as MIDI, synths, sampling,
and drum modules. We also go “off the books” quite a bit to give you
invaluable insider tips and shortcuts.

“Joe’s professionalism and expertise made our CD a
valuable asset for promoting the band. We have received nothing but
positive feedback and have increased bookings, thanks to the CD. We
look forward to working with Joe again in the future.”

When
you complete one of our courses, you’re ready to enter the industry as a
professional. Over the years, we’ve had a number of students who
“graduated” from other recording schools and then came here to take
one of our courses, because they really didn’t learn what they needed to
know to go out into the world and score the job they wanted.
We
emphasize the “hands-on” approach as well as working with books and
technical material. We’ve found this to be the winning combination, and
many of the students who have taken our courses are now employed in the
industry.
From
tracking to overdubs to final mixdown, you’ll know the ins and outs of
the recording-studio business on every level. This sort of comprehensive
knowledge gives our graduate engineers and producers the confidence to
build meaningful careers in the industry.
